Anchorage, Alaska -- Providence Alaska Medical Center and The Children´s Hospital at Providence seek a BE/BC Child Psychiatrist to join our well-established team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, therapists and social workers. This is an employed position with several practice options available. Preferred would be full time at outpatient clinic with consultation services. Other options may include some level (negotiable) of split time as hospital liaison and coverage for inpatient mental health unit (approximately 4-5 weeks per year). Excellent compensation (salary plus production bonus) and benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement and more.

Providence Health & Services-Alaska is seeking a talented Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric for our Lake Otis Parkway facility. In this role, you will be in the primary mental health advanced practice role in psychiatric and non psychiatric setting. You will provide psychiatric and psychosocial diagnoses and implements a wide variety of interventions with patients and families. You will also function in the indirect role of consultant and educator with other health care providers in the health care system.

The essential requirements for this position include the following:

Education: Masters degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing. Subspecialty in psychiatric consultation preferred.

Experience: Two years as mental health advanced nurse practitioner or mental health clinical nurse specialist. Five years general hospital nursing experience as registered nurse.

Licensure/Certification: Authorized Advanced Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority eligibility. Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
